 Abstract:  Reverend Edward Worthington was pastor of Grace Episcopal Church in Cleveland, Ohio, during the latter part of the nineteenth century. His wife, Eleanor Lobdell Worthington, was the daughter of Dr. Francis Lobdell, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church and once archdeacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York. The collection consists of various personal and professional letters of the Worthington family, and other individuals, as well as genealogical charts of the Lobdell family, newspaper clippings, and clipped autographs. The collection is largely personal in nature, being primarily correspondence between family members. A large portion is the correspondence of Eleanor Worthington and deals mainly with family and domestic issues. The Edward Worthington correspondence is also primarily of a personal nature, with some official church and business letters. Several of the letters relate to the courtship of Edward and Eleanor.

 Abstract:  Saint John's Episcopal Church is a congregation which maintains the oldest church edifice in Cleveland, Ohio, the group splitting off from Trinity Parish when it moved from Ohio City to Cleveland's east side in 1826. In the late 1960s, the congregation merged with the Inner City Protestant Parish, an interdenominational group of congregations which met at St. John's and other churches during the 1950s and 1960s. The church is also known as St. John's Historic Episcopal Church. The collection consists of minutes of the trustees and parish council, financial information, administrative records, documents pertaining to the restoration of the church building, and files relating to the parish history. The collection pertains to the administrative functions of a prominent Cleveland parish, its efforts to restore the church edifice, and its involvement in ecumenical and reform movements, from the 1920s to the 1980s.

 Abstract:  The Hoy Cross House for Crippled and Invalid Children was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1903 by the Guild of the Holy Cross for Invalids. Administrated by members of the Episcopal Sisterhood of the Transfiguration, the house served economically disadvantaged children. The House, first located on Whittier Ave. and later at 9014 Cedar Ave. in Cleveland, closed its doors in 1934. The collection consists of minutes and reports of the Board of Managers and Lady Managers, annual reports, correspondence, financial records, publications, and case files of patients' records.
